Hood release spring
Hey guys... not sure if this has been covered. My hood took some diggin to get open after pulling the release handle, was worried about scratching the paint over time trying to get fingers between the hood and the grille. I welded a GM starter solenoid return spring to a large washer, and installed the hood stud over it. (5/8" i think..) Works great. Pops the hood up a good inch and a half after pulling the release. No issues with closing the hood either.

Re: Hood release spring
Sounds like something you should build and sell here. I haven't had an issue with opening my hood, but I'm sure there are others that have and would be interested.
