M & H Wiring Harnesses ?
Do any of the Venders sell M & H Wiring harnesses ? Or do you have to go direct to M & H ?

Re: M & H Wiring Harnesses ?
BROTHERS, thats where I got mine. But, I believe you can go straight to the vendor and buy. I feel they are the best on the market. I had my engine harness modified for a internal regulated ALT and a HEI distributer. No extra charge, but that was 10 yrs ago.

Re: M & H Wiring Harnesses ?
A lot of vendors sell M&H harness's.
M&H is one of only a couple harness builders that make OE spec harness's. You can buy direct from M&H, but you will more than likely save a few bucks by going through one of the vendors for the same thing.

Re: M & H Wiring Harnesses ?
I've heard M&H is about the closest to the original you can get, and that's what I'm looking for. ( Plug & Play ) But I will need some mods done also ie:
Internal reg alt, HEI, Head light relays, Sanderson A/C compressor, and I'd like to go with the ATO fuses. Can these mods be ordered through the venders, or would I have to go directly to M&H ? Gary

Re: M & H Wiring Harnesses ?
GMCPauls does as well. Even though it said ships from the manufacturer on my harness it felt like they immediately emailed my info because I got the harness before the other parts I ordered. Both companies were fantastic to deal with.

Re: M & H Wiring Harnesses ?
Have any of you guys completely rewired your trucks ? Thats my plan, but it's adding up to about $1,000 plus.

Re: M & H Wiring Harnesses ?
So far it looks like GMCPauls beats everyone price by about $200, But I need to double check everything to be sure I didn't miss something.

Re: M & H Wiring Harnesses ?
We both sell and use M&H wiring and also American Autowire, so we have a lot of experience with them. Both are great harnesses. WES

Re: M & H Wiring Harnesses ?
I built the engine harness for my 3500 swap Fiero. it was quite a bit of work, but it allowed me to put everything where I want, unlike reman harnesses, or "custom" swap harnesses. when I do the engine swap on my truck I intend to rewire the whole truck. there's really not that much to one of these old trucks, it wouldn't be too hard, more just tedious.

Re: M & H Wiring Harnesses ?
that particular harness was built from salvage wire and connectors. when I do the truck, I plan to use all new stuff, I know it'll cost a small fortune, but it's an investment that I know long term, I will be much happier with.

Re: M & H Wiring Harnesses ?
I learned something new about M&H and AAW harnesses ! They are virtually identical, the guys that own them use to be partners, but split up. One runs his company on the west coast and the other on the east coast.

Re: M & H Wiring Harnesses ?
both are great units, cost is relative. Why spend lots on money to restore a vehicle and then use an old harness just to watch it burn down around you. Not many old harnesses that have not been butchered for trailors, brake boxes radios etc. safe is better than sorry imo.

Hard to beat the quality but they specialize primarily in exact factory reproductions so they are pricey. But , if you are building a Bloomington Gold Corvette nothing else will get you there. |

Re: M & H Wiring Harnesses ?
Fitz
That is basically what I did, called M&H went through everything I had in the truck and any mods I need. Then Called Wes at Classic Heartbeat and went through everything with him and got his insight. I ordered it through Wes because the price was a little better, still pricey though. Gary

Re: M & H Wiring Harnesses ?
I have an M&H front light harness, and engine harness in my 1972 GMC. Great fit and finish. All came with the proper factory correct connectors and clips. Wrapped with the correct tape, and also had the plastic channels for the wires to fit on the firewall, and behind the radiator. Direct plug and play fit! Money well spent if you ask me, for trouble free wiring.
Got mine from Wes as well. Gary
