Horn Button Assembly

Is there a spring required for the horn button to work on a 1958 chevy truck? I bought all of the componenets new from Bowtie Bits. Any pictures or help is appreciated

no. the horn cap clips over the horn contact plate assembly that is bolted on with the steering wheel
