spindal question

I have a 3/4 ton and I want to lower it some and swap it to a 5 lug disc setup. Do I need to change the upper and lower control arms, the tierods, etc. in order to put on a 5 lug disc spindal?
thanks for any help
brad

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the 3/4 ton upper and lower ball joints will fit the 71-72 disc spindles, I don't know if the tie rod ends will fit.

P.S. what year truck?

the upper a arms, & the crossmember will work. You need to swap the lower a arms(due to ball joint sizing), then swap all the ball joints to go 1/2 ton(5 lug)+ tierod assys(inners, outers, & sleeves). The center link may or may not work......just watch the taper on the holes when you install the tierods. as a rule, 71 on is a go on the center link. Also, you can use 73 up spindles......just use the corresponding ball joints, & outer tierod ends.( the upper ball joint, & outer tierod ends have a different taper on the 73 up 1/2 tons) Good luck, crazyL
