Short Road Test Video

Had a nice break in the 15 degree weather and took a short ride. I only opened the cutouts half way so they wouldn't overwhelm the microphone. It sounds even better on a stereo system:

Re: Short Road Test Video

That's awesome! I love the sound and feel of a stout V-8 and a manual transmission. Your engine sounds nice and responsive when you're gettin' on it. Makes me want to build another truck with a stick!

I enjoyed that! I've always admired the photos of your your truck and it seems to posess all the old school hot rod qualities I imagined. Thanks for the ride and the tour of the town. Seems like a nice place.

Re: Short Road Test Video

Thanks for all the responses guys. The truck really is as much fun to drive as it sounds like.

Nope same old crappy camera. That’s why I only opened the cutouts half way. A while back I captured the perfect blast from zero to 90 mph at full throttle with the pipes wide open. When played back the audio quality was terrible. It sounded like the ignition completely broke down and the engine was missing and the pipes just roared and vibrated. It sounded nothing like the real life experience, so I won’t be trying that again until I can afford a GoPro.

Doug's Headers. I like the sliding door that seals completely, compared to the carb butterfly style. The other style seems to leak eventually. Also their customer service should be a benchmark for others to follow. One of my units failed when nearly new and Doug's had a new one in my hands within two days.

Darn hot rodders, driving around showin' off! For the record I'm real jealous of your cut outs.
