best build threads to help newbies?

Hello everyone!

This is my first thread on the forum. I am working on fixing up a '69 C10 that was my father's when he passed. As the title suggests, this is my first time taking a vehicle down to the bare cab. Body work is something completely new to me.

It is a North Dakota truck and was actually driven. I am in the middle of the typical floor pan, A-pillar, rocker, cab corner, and outer floor routine. Things are actually going quite well, but some areas were rotted beyond recognition and I'm having trouble piecing it back together.

I would greatly appreciate it if folks would post links to good build threads that have good pictures, etc of outer floor rust repair. What are the best "guides" any of you have come across?

Thanks everyone for your help!

Luke

Luke, sorry about your loss. If you are doing a complete floorpan, as I would recommend when possible, check out my build thread. Maybe you could pick up some tips I have along the way. Good luck with your build!

Re: best build threads to help newbies?

Thanks everyone, those are both very complete and contain great pictures of my problem areas (and much more).

There is tons of information on this site, almost overwhelming. I better get a build thread going.

Thanks!

Re: best build threads to help newbies?

There are some great build threads to learn from here on the forum and very helpful people to help you if you get stuck on a repair. Check out my build and if you have any questions I'd be glad to help you out. Also you can also post questions in the paint and bodywork section too.

thanks scott. looking through these build threads is helping immensely. it is also comforting to know others have been there and back. i ran across a couple build threads where people brought half of a cab back to life. It is great to see!
