I was dealing with a guy like that too maybe a little over a year ago on my dirtbike (which I ended up trading for my 69). First he sent me an e-mail with an offer. He said that he has a reputable shipper in the US that he deals with and he arranges the shipping.
So I sent this guy an e-mail and said I couldn't take his offer because it was too low. He replied in about 4 hours saying he would pay full asking price for it, and that I was to price shipping out for him. I decided to think the whole scenario over for a while before I replied. Luckily, the dumbass sent me another e-mail offering me $3500 for my 86 Honda Accord. It was too bad that I didn't have an 86 Honda Accord. So anyway, I got wise to the scam and sent him an e-mail saying I accepted his offer but asked why he said I should price shipping if he already has a reputable shipper that he uses. Again he gave me a prompt e-mail saying that it was just a mistake on his part, and that he would check out shipping and he wanted my address. I told him is was: 666 Fraudulant Ave Courtcase, Canada FAQ YOU It was no surprise that he didn't e-mail me back.

I forgot to mention that he called himself Johanny Auto with an address something like
Cotteneua Road Port Of Republic South Africa.
