Question Home link console / temp mirror

I picked up a spare console at the wreckers for my 97 burb. The spare has home-link. Anyone know if they can be added to my truck that does not have home-link now?

also I have a compass mirror. I picked up a compass temp mirror. Can this feature be made to work on my truck? I grabbed the sensor from behind the grille but cant find any info on how to add these.

sorry if these are double posts but i couldn't find the answers I was looking for

thanks in advance
