Homemade line clamp/separator tool

While waiting for some 3/8" line clamps I had ordered I got to wondering if I could make some? The tool is made of 2 pcs of 5/8" key stock. The clamps are made of .060 stainless steel.

I respect a lot of the guys here, especially the body guys, but the guys who really get my attention are the guys who build their own tooling to make parts. Nice job!

Re: Homemade line clamp/separator tool

Don't mean to sound like I'm easily impressed but..... That is about as cool of a tube-clamp die, fixture, maker, thingy as I have seen.

You know of course that there are hundreds of us who have a drill press and a hydraulic press and would not have thought of that in a million freeking years!!!

In return,,,, here..... some claim I'm old enough to be a member of this .wmv video clip,, but honest, it's just another engineer I most highly respect
