05 tahoe lost power to seats and r windows
I have an 05 Tahoe and suddenly lost power to the Seats and the right windows. I found a TSB (TSB 05-08-143-001) Says something about problem with the Brake Pedal Position Sensor.
Any body know anything about this? I could really use some help |

My 05 silverado recently did something similar except it lost all power except the drivers , ended up being the body control module, think it was around $700 parts and labor at the dealer

Re: 05 tahoe lost power to seats and r windows
bottom of power distribution panel (under drivers dash) has 2 circuit breakers. I can't remember which one, but it feeds those items. both breakers are fed power from a (IIRC) 40 amp maxi fuse under the hood. I have a customer with the same vehicle and his I have narrowed it down to wires chafing under the driver's seat. It only acted up when his wife drove it and moved the seat.

Quote:
in the underhood fuse block for being blown. If so, check the harness between there and the I/P relay block for chaffing. Buddy

Re: 05 tahoe lost power to seats and r windows
I've been looking around on Service Information and found this

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

Re: 05 tahoe lost power to seats and r windows
ckt 1440 is the one I saw a problem with. It took a while with customer driving it with a 25A fuse installed at pin A (c305) and a 20A at pin H (seat adjuster sw.). His wife drove it and came back with the 20A fuse blown. I found chaffed wire under driver's seat near the back of left track. Some heat shrink and a reposition solved it.
