What color should the covers be on the 67/68 e-brakes? I've seen some body colored and some black, my last 67 didn't have one so I didn't care, but I've got one for my current truck and need to know which color to paint.

Every one I have ever come across has been black

The one in my 68 GMC was a green color,that matched the background on the bezel and the glove box and the dashpad

My truck I just bought that hadn't been touched inside since built in 67 is matte black.

So the ones in GMC's are body color like the instrument bezels, and Chevys are black? Is the black a semi-gloss?

Chris- here is an original fresh out of a 67 CST. I wiped down the front no flash pic. It has some shine, but not mirror like. The back still has the OEM dirt and dust.

Perfect, thanks for posting that Scott. Thanks everyone for the insight. I bought one off a board member and it was original paint orange, must have been off a GMC.

I have a 68 Chevy parts truck as well as the 68 GMC it should still have all of that stuff there I'll try to look and see if it is still there. the cab on that parts truck might be one of the best of my group, both cab corners and even the rockers still looked to be ok.
