need to lower my 70 lwb
I would like to know how low I can go with my 70 lwb with out doing a c notch and how low with one. Do I need springs and spindle's or just spindle's in the front. Who's kit would be good to use. Right now my truck sits on new stock sb springs in the front and new stock springs in the rear. I want it to be level and at what point do I need to run the exhaust through the frame where the trailing arms attach. Any info would be good and some pics of finished trucks would be even better.
Thanks, Wes |

www.earlyclassic.com 4.5/6 drop is what I would use.

Re: need to lower my 70 lwb
Just considering 'with a notch' .. about 7.5 is about all I would do on a static drop. Any lower and the rear axle housing gets super close to the bed floor. Keith is the man. 4.5/6
2.5" spindles, 2" springs up front. 5" springs, 1" block in the rear. It will ride a little better than a straight up 6" spring. .. 6" springs are very common but the 5, or even 4/2 combo gives the spring a little more efficiency plus if its too low you can change the block and its not a 6" or stock scenario. Just a different perspective on it. Good luck with it.
