rebuilt TH350 transmission ?
Has anyone rebuilt their own TH350?I see the parts kits available for short money. Is this a crazy thought? How much money should I expect to pay a tranny shop to rebuild it ? It's working fine , just leaks badly and has 150,000 miles in it. I plan to do the engine so I really ought to do the tranny too! It's all in my 72 K10

Re: rebuilt TH350 transmission ?
Prices vary but there is a guy in Michigan that will rebuild a TH 350 for $200 while you wait.
(Does not include R&R of transmission). Jim

Re: rebuilt TH350 transmission ?
Had mine rebuilt a year or so ago, around $750, including R&R and shift kit. It shifts fast and solid.

Re: rebuilt TH350 transmission ?
There are several tools needed for the rebuild of the trans that most guys don't have in their home shops or even hobby shops like clutch presses and stuff like that. Even the pump pullers can be needed a special tool now and then. Jim
