Meet Wounded Warrior
Hey guys i've been on the forum for a little time checking out all the different post and gathering info on how I should start my build.
I found a 1972 lab that looked like it was in good shape with very little surface rust showing. My intent was to keep it a lab, so I could use the truck for dump runs. The rear panels ended up having way to many waves in them. It's crazy how fast things got out of control, I set a 5 month start to finish for this truck. The other reason I'm posting is i'm about to run into something I've never done before ( like custom built brake lines SS, Parking brake set up that will work with my rear baer brakes, and the custom center console i'm going to build.) ANY PIC OR INFO OR IDEAS YOU HAVE SEND THEM MY WAY. routing pic and placement is what I need. By the way if your wondering y I call it (wounded warrior) is when I bought it it looked good from the outside, but when I tore it down it was all patched up, just good enough to keep it in the fight. and yes i'm a vet. 1972 chevy c10 lwb porter built drop member/ pro touring set up accu air custom built boze pro touring 20 inch (10 305/30/20) (8.5 265/35/20) m-pilot sports Baer 6 piston 14 front and rear set up 12 bolt eaton 373 6.0 532 hp/477tq built to add a supercharger 4l80 built vintage air american auto wire dakota digital Ididit touch less start lokar shifter custom center console power everything The only stock parts are the cab and two frame rails, everything else is new |

Re: Meet Wounded Warrior
Don't know if ya remember me, we chatted on the phone for a bit about how the Porterbuilt dropmembers are setup. It's great to finally put a build to the name, it's going to be awesome!!! I wish I had half those skills, but I'm probably going to be hung up forever on mine until I learn to weld properly haha.
Subscribing, this is going to be a build to watch! |

Re: Meet Wounded Warrior
I may have to make that happen, your shop looks a hell of a lot more better equipped than mine, that's for sure!

Re: Meet Wounded Warrior
Very nice! I was hoping you would start one up when I saw the pics in the wheel thread.

Re: Meet Wounded Warrior
Thanks guys
Did I put this in the right thread? I thought it would automatically go into the sub thread of builds but it didn't. I order every part for the truck before I started and my goal is 4 month to be on the road and by the 5th month have all the bugs worked out. I'm about to hit my 7 week |

Re: Meet Wounded Warrior
Probably best in the build section. You can contact a moderator and they may be able to move it for you
