Re: Bed Fill Gas Cap Pics ????

This is what I've done. I didn't want any thing on the bed floor just incase I wanted to haul something. I have the truck all disassembled now and I am doing the body this winter. I will the weld in the fuel door assembly into the box side. The bed floor will be done after I instal nolimit rear rail kit and c4 corvette rear suspension.

You'll have to look close. Sorry for the lousy pic. It's from a late model suburban. 2" fill neck makes for no burbs on fill up!

Re: Bed Fill Gas Cap Pics ????

Hey guys, check out Project: Jezebel. Scott told me about it last night, I really like how he done his bed . I think this is the route I may go. When finished it looks like it would have came from GM that way!!! Keep posting ideas though, I like to see everybody's touch. The Jezebel pics are on page 12 of his build if anybody wants to check it out. Thanks, Jason

I went this way. It sort of matches the look of the bed bolts.

Ridgeclimber do you have the whole side of your bed tinned in.? Can you give us a pic from further out.? I can't tell where your filler cap is. I have a door similar to yours I could use.

Talking Re: Bed Fill Gas Cap Pics ????

I bought my gas filler at a local marine dealership, cost me $35.00 and it's polished stainless steel too. same part LMC/classic parts,etc... sells for $70.00 so, keep that in mind.... looks just like the one in post #18
Have a good one!

Sorry I'm just now seeing you're question.

I transition from 1.5" to 2" just after the filler neck. Initially I ran 1.5" hose to the tank, but it filled really slowly and was prone to spilling gas out the cap when filling. I swapped to 2" and it hasn't been a problem since.
