Srandard trans linkage
I'm doing a auto to std transmission conversion, I was given the clutch petal & linkage out of a 65 with a Saginaw 3 spd, I have a 71, does any body know if this will make up to my Saginaw 3 spd?
There is a piece that is under the hood that bolts up between the frame and the bell housing, maybe; that piece was already off the truck, I would post a pic of the piece but I can't get them to upload to the forum. any help would be appreciated. |

Re: Srandard trans linkage
I've done some more looking It's the Z bar mount for a L6 the frame side I'm talking about I really need to see a picture of a 6 cyl clutch linkage to see how to install what I have, the doner truck was a L6 mine is too so the motor side bracket should work but I need to see how it all goes together.

Re: Srandard trans linkage
It does by helping me to know how to orientate the linkage, thank you I really didn't know how to ask for what I needed.
That Z-bar, is it mounted to a hole in your frame or is there a bracket in there somewhere; I have the Z bar with a mount on the motor side on the other side theirs a swivel joint that mounts to something, I found no bracket on the doner truck and the Z bar was already off the truck when I got there. |

Re: Srandard trans linkage
Not sure if it will help you or not but I will post anyways. I took some reference pics of my buddy's truck so I can reinstall the column shift linkages and kinda got some of the zbar setup in there as well. HTH
