91-92 power steering system

I have a friend that has a 91 or 2 4x4 that is junk but the power steering is in good shape, being 4wd and newer I realize that it will be metric but how much other different hurdles would I have to cross to install it on my 67 2wd. Is there a difference in gearboxes, shafts, or bolt patterns?

Lines are easy, use the 91 metric fitting in the back of the 67 power steering box.
73-87 boxes are cheap and easy to find and are bolt on for the 68-72. 67 requires frame modificatio to install correctly.

OK Thanks Brad I will get on the look out for a 67 gearbox. What kind of frame mods is necessary, are they different bolt pattern or is the frame shaped different right there? Just curious.

67 gearbox will be manual. The PS on the 67 was a ram assist type that connected to the center link.
Use one from about 76 up to get better ratio and bolt on.The frame on a 67 will need to be dimpled for clearance.Whne you test fit you will be able to see where. There'sprobably a pic somewhere if you search.

Yes, the bolt pattern and type is different. None of the parts he has bolted to his frame will help you steer easier on your truck. If it were that easy I'd have already done my extra 70. The box on the 88-98 Chevy truck bolt on the inside of the frame.
