Parking Brake Question

I'm not in love with the early hand operated parking brake in my newly acquired 67. What is required to convert over to the later foot operated parking brake?

Re: Parking Brake Question

Looks like there is a link in this thread

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=166939

It sounds kinda involved but I didn't read through it all.

Re: Parking Brake Question

Well mine doesn't even work so I can't make any recommendations. :P Honestly I've never needed to use it. In gear key off has worked fine so far. As you could probably imagine it's not very hard to find level places to park in ND.

Talking Re: Parking Brake Question

I have a automatic but I use the parking brake no matter where I park.
I have had to jump into two differant vehicles to stop them because the owner didn't bother to use their parking brake. Once was in my drive way and once at a boat landing. They are in a vehicle for a reason and that is to use them when you park the vehicle. Oh yea both where straight drives too!

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
