How do you close your 3rd door from the inside?
What have y'all done to help close the 3rd door from the inside?
I'm afraid someone is gonna yank the interior door handle right off the door. Has anyone added a handle or pull strap to the inside, or adapted a front door panel with armrest to pull the door closed? Looking for ideas. Thanks |

Never had a moment that I can recall, where I felt the door or the handle was in danger of getting damaged.
Are you referring to those people who feel they have to slam the door?

The clip that holds the handle and the window crank will not come off if properly seated...matter of fact, sometimes a real pain to remove.

I see no reason you couldn't put an arm rest on it. You couldn't use it as an arm rest but it could be used to close the door. LockDoc

Well how about that!
I never realized until now that my Burb didn't have an arm rest on the back door. (I've owned it for two years.) I guess it's because I've never sat in the back seat/

Yeah, the back seats have the arm rest built in so none on the door. LockDoc

Oh, that's right. The original back seat would have had arm rests. Mine got a bit of an upgrade.

Re: How do you close your 3rd door from the inside?
I had issues with that as well. I went to the hardware store and bought a small, neat looking stainless cabinet door handle and mounted it on my 3 rd door inside panel up high. I'm at work right now, but "if" I can remember when I get home, ll take a pic and post.

67 Burb.....you need to get a threshold plate for the 3rd door.....vendors have them!
and I've never had a problem grabbing the handle to pull the door closed. |
