Heater help

My neighbor has a restored 53 3100 but they didn't put the heater back in when the work was done. He is trying to figure out where the control knob mounts are and what it looks like. I think the wiring is pretty simple but if anyone advice that might help let me know. I have looked around online and can't seem to find an original picture or diagram.

Re: Heater help

Most of the ones I've seen are a rotary switch clamped to the dash lip

Re: Heater help

They had a translucent ivory knob that glowed when turned on, I remember them in a lot of the 50's cars and trucks when heaters were a dealer option. My grandmother had one in her 50 willys wagon, I thought it was really cool a night.

Re: Heater help

Here's my '51. The water control knob and bracket is mounted under the dash to the right of the lighter. This is the only place it can go.

Hope that helps.
