'97 GMC Side Molding

Newby here, 1st post. I'm restoring a '97 GMC that has bleached out aluminum trim on the side molding, as do most of that vintage. Other than the faux aluminum, the black ribbed rubber is perfect and I don't want the added labor of replacing all the side trim with oem stuff.
Does anyone know of a source for just the "faux chrome" stuff? I'm looking for an overlay if it's made. It would be nice if stainless were available but I can't find it?
