Hey guys I tried to search but didn't find what I was looking for. I have a 1972 GMC 3/4 ton I'm cutting into a shortbed and doing air ride and a trailing arm conversion on as my own personal driver. The ugly brown and gold paint that's on it now used to be pale yellow with a white roof. The glove box door is from another truck so the spid tag says dark blue. Do any of you guys know what code that pale yellow paint was?

Any Good Auto Paint store should have the correct code for you or you can go to this website and find it... http://www.tcpglobal.com/autocolorlibrary/

The Factory RPO Code for the lt.yellow is 525, for the white it's 521.
Gm also had a lt.yellow that was code 520. But it wasn't listed as a truck color. However as a special paint option it could have been used.

I think you are looking for Butternut Yellow. (may have been called by different names in different years) It's a really light Yellow.... Here are a couple of threads with pictures.

Yep it looks just like 525 or 545! Thanks a bunch. Unfortunately while the rockers and floors look great underneath the truck sat with old house carpet and dirt inside so the rocker flange and lower kicks are rusted through and need repaired. I'm going to start a build thread for fun. I have my own repair and fabrication shop here in Reno so I'm going to make it my shop truck. Thanks again for all the help!
