Houndstooth ???
Hey everyone. Since my interior needs to be completely redone I was thinking of putting some houndstooth fabric in the seats. Does anyone have any pics of theirs or ideas/opinions/suggestions on this? Since my carpet is red and all the painted stuff is black i was kinds thinking some red/black stuff but would like to see pics of whatever you have.
Thanks, Terry J.

Re: Houndstooth ???
I did houndstooth inserts on my orange '74. The upholstery shop I use at the shop didn't have any good options, but I found the material that I used at a place that did home furnishings. I don't have any pics of the seat here at work, but I did my interior in black. It turned out well.

Re: Houndstooth ???
I looked at a fabric store first, but it didn't look like it would work, and I didn't care for the pattern as much (everything looked too small). The people that did the seats said what I bought worked out great, and it was a lot cheaper than what they could get $15 per yard vs. $60 per yard.

Re: Houndstooth ???
It is. I hear the guy that bought the truck was just going to drive it and leave it alone.
That's the one. It was actually Mandarin (orange). Looks a lot more orange next to the black before it was dyed. I still have the original dashpad in the attic. Man I miss having a truck that runs under it's own power......

Re: Houndstooth ???
No pics, but check out 1968/1969 Camaro Z28 houndstooth original seats. I think red/white or orange/white - best I have seen.

Re: Houndstooth ???
They had the windows up at the SEMA show, but Chevy's E-rod K10 had orange houndstooth upholstery. Looked cool to me.

I have not used these guys but There are some HT samples here in the plain Johnny with HT section. I like the seat pattern posted earlier in this forum better than the one on the link though. |
