Nice stock-type upgrade/mod. Are those the 70's wheel that would work with disc brakes?

I don't have plans to change much. I'd like to get a/c installed before summer. Maybe eventually add an overdrive transmission. And probably convert to disc brakes. Other than that, I don't know of anything else that I want to do

Pretty sure they are pre '70 because of the 3 nubs. I'm gonna get them cleaned up and try to find markings on them

very nice. Last weekend I picked up a set of 15's to sand blast and paint up... they had old bias ply's on them and the difference in height was significant of the 225/75/15s on my truck now...
I'm digging your 16s, wheel height looks much more like the original tires... but they wont work with the wheel covers I'm running...

I like how they look, but I'm not sure I'll go with a tire quite that big. It raised the truck by approx 1.5" by putting them on. I'm thinking about 235/75/16. The approximate diameters are:

215/75/15 - 27.7" (current tires on original 15 x 5.5 wheels)
235/70/16 - 28.95"
235/75/16 - 29.88"
245/70/16 - 29.5"
245/75/16 - 30.47"

This truck is about as nice of a used daily driver survivor as you'll find.It runs great,looks good,and has very little that isn't original.It rides smooth and drives good.Mikes a great guy and really considers things carefully before he makes a change.

I agree with Doc. Truck already has a good look, but the new tire wheel combo really takes it to a new level.

That's an excellent upgrade only detectable those who know what they're looking at. Classy. Although these wheels were made for drum brake trucks,the 16" diameter should make them useable with 1/2t disc brakes.

Those new 16's look great! I'm also searching for those wheels in the 8 lug variety. My current wheels are the original C20 wheels with the lock rims and 245/75/16 tires. Did you drill new mounting tabs for the hub caps? Will these clear discs?

Here's a look at 235/85/16s. They do fill up the wheelwell.

I'm very excited to get them on, but I need to find another wheel or two because one is bent pretty bad. I test fit them on another members truck with disc brakes and they fit perfectly!

These wheels take the same hubcaps as the 1/2 ton, so no modification needed. They clear discs perfectly fine. I found a guy that "says" he has a set of 8 lug 16" while I was looking.

I'm torn on the tire size I'm gonna go with. I still have the powerglide with 3.73 rear. I'm not sure how tall of a tire I can run. I'm going between 215/85/16, 245/75/16, 235/75/16 and 235/85/16.
