Emergency Brake Release
Can someone send me a picture(s) of there emergency brake release. Mine appears to be missing the spring that moves the pedal back up when you release pull the release handle.

You mean one under the cab? Mine doesnt have one on the pedal assembly itself.. shy of a small spring to return the release handle. I only have cable guides under the cab as well.

Just the springs on the ebrake cables inside the drums I believe..

when you pull the release handle does the pedal come up? Mine doesn't unless you pull it up with your foot or hand.

Yep... returns all the way up. Have you tried adjusting the slack out of your cables under the cab? Make sure your cables that enter the backing plates are free as well.

Mine is a '70.. you can see the spring here.. inside the drums on the brake cable itself

i would try adjusting the slack out of them first... under the cab on the drivers side. You'll see a cable guide with a threaded rod through it. Support your pedal all the way up, and tighten the cable to remove slack. Just don't over tighten to start pulling the brakes on.

In addition to Molberg's suggestions you'll likely need to lube the cables, they are probably hanging up inside the cable housings.
