Finished newest addon to my truck

I saw this on a few cars but never saw one on a Chevy truck. Thought I'll try it. It's growing on me, plus it'll be a good conversational piece when I go to shows.

I'm not sure but I think it's pyrex glass. The company that makes these is called Killer Glass. They make these for several vehicles but not our trucks. I had to get a straight piece and get it to fit.

Gotta be honest with ya... I think it's kinda cool. Never a bad thing to be able to see your coolant.

Its definitely cool and different. It has an almost neon look to it. I bet you get some crazy comments on it.

Re: Finished newest addon to my truck

maybe add a small plastic fish attached so that it will not go into the system - on the serious side maybe use stainless flex radiator hose material since the tube looks on the hi-tech side..

Re: Finished newest addon to my truck

There is actually a company here in Fort Worth Texas that will laser etch a bow tie or Chevrolet or anything else you want on it. They are one of my customers. I am a air compressor guy and they get their parts from us. Anywho I will go to work on Monday and get there info if anyone is interested.

Re: Finished newest addon to my truck

if my truck was neon green I would replace all my hoses with that stuff.

There are 2 small LED's at each end of the glass tube. Looks pretty good at night.

In the picture it looks like it leaked all over your radiator and fan shroud. Sorry I couldn't resist…. It's pretty unique.

Some coolant did spill when I removed the original hose. After installing the glass, I sprayed the engine area down with water and took the pic before everything dried. Been driving it the past few weekends, no leaks.
