K30 rear spring question.

If I take the overload springs out will I have to worry about the rear of the truck dropping any. With these springs in there it rides way to rough. It's like it has a solid suspension. I took a 9" torpedo level and put it on the bed rail and it has about 3/16-1/4" of rake from rear to front. So it could use a little drop in the rear to level it out a bit. I am going to have to measure to see what length of new U-bolts I will need to replace the old ones.

Not good pics but here they are.

Re: K30 rear spring question.

First thing I would try would be to take the cross bolt out of the lower "helper" spring. The one I'm referring to is out on the end where there are 3 or 4 holes on the bracket. That may be where you are getting some of your problem. The upper helpers shouldnt play a part in the ride until you get some weight on. I think I would look at the upper helpers though, they look like they may need some attention, unless it's the camera playing tricks. If the lower helper thing works, I think if you pull it and put new u bolts that should drop you about where you want.
