Gear swap price?

What's everyone paying for gears? Looking to get 373's already have posi-trac and it's a 10bolt .. I've had prices ranging from $350 up to $1000.. Thanks for any info/help

I would think more toward the lower side than the upper. You can buy a set of gears from either Jeg's or Summit for around $125 to $150 and that much more should get them set. Jim

The shop that wants closer to 1000 also will replace the bearings and is considered 1 of the best in the Houston area..

I was told ~$900 to do a similar swap for both axles in a 4wd. I was able to locate good gears on the parts board to reduce that expense. Good luck, Pete

most of these trucks use a 12bolt posi not a 10bolt

The P.O. did the swap and the 10bolt has disc brakes..
