Need Help!

Hey guys, I am new to this forum but have been lurking here for quite some time. I just purchased an 87' CC dually with the 454 and TBI but I am having some issues with it so I am starting from the beginning with a tune-up. One problem I have is; I'm not sure what sparkplug to run in it. I went to the local Carquest and got plugs before I pulled the old ones and they are not even close to what was in it. What came out was an AC delco CR43TS and they gave me an AC delco R44T as the replacement. The former ones are about an 1/8 longer on the electrode than the later. So which one do I use? I have searched and searched the forums to see what you guys are running with that particular stock set-up to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Need Help!

Vin N takes CR43TS

Vin W takes R44T

Pretty sure TBI takes CR43TS but, check your VIN to make sure.

Re: Need Help!

Check and see if the emission label is still under the hood. If so, it should list the recommended plug.
