ya think these size tires are gonna fit?
gettin' ready to do my 3"/4" drop on the 68 ,and was thinking about the tire clearance.....i'm presently running 255 70r15's all the way around. the front is presently at about 32" from the ground to the top lip of the wheel well opening..and i have 33" in the back......anyone else run into this when lowering thier's w/ this dia. tires?thanks for any replies as i'm hoping to do this this w/end!yeehaaww!!

forgot to mention/note...the original coils i belive put the measurements at 33"frt. and 34"in back (according to my lmc catalog...which is only good for this type of info./diagrams)so maybe that might give more tire clearance....

Buxman,
I have a 4/6" drop on my 1969 LWB, and I am running 255-60-15's on the front and 275-60-15 on the rear. I have run this combination for several years with no contact problems. Good luck, J |

BUXMAN66 you should be just fine as long as you have a 3 1/2"-4" backspaceing on wheels. We run 255-60-15" on rims with these backspacings and do not have a problem on any of our trucks dropped 3" in front and 4" in rear.
