What Ball Joints ?

Hey guys an gals!

Im trying to find out what ball joints i need to fit my 71' Disk spindles to my 64' Control and A-arms? Size ? Id really Appreciate it ! thanks in advance

you need the same ball joints that your spindles used originally. There are a lot of in depth posts that go into all the parts and pieces to do this swap.

You simply need the balljoints for a '71-'72 C10. One of them is specific to those 2 years only. I don't remember if it is the upper or lower. That's the reason I don't like to use those spindles.

Uppers are 71-72 specific.
Lowers are 71-87.

You will need 71-72 outer tie rods.
Which won't bolt to your existing steering because they are the wrong diameter and opposite thread.
You'll need either:
All 71-72 steering parts.
Or conversion sleeves and move your original outer tie rods to the inner location.

Or best answer,... Throw your 71-72 spindles in the trash and buy 63-70 conversion spindles for $229.
No need to change anything.

Thanks for the help guys! i may just sell the whole front suspension crossmember and all for the 71' and buy the conversion spindles.

Moog K6117 is what i used for my lower balljoints.
