Lets see your 17" inch wheels and tire sizes.l

My freind just bought some 17" wheels for his 67 chevy shortbed. Truck is lowered about 3 " front 4" rear. Lets see pics and your tire sizes.

Wheels are Billet Specialties SLC 65's Tires are Toyo Proxes GT
285x 17 rears on 17x10 wheels
255-17 fronts on 17x8 wheels
3.5 in drop front 4 in drop rear

17" American Racings with 235/55/17. Same wheels polished and plastidiped for the winter.

That's brilliant use of plastidip 69. Perfect way to protect the finish for you Yanks.

Thanks!! I can't say that I came up with the idea but it works. The wheels have been through two salt winters, and no need to be polished.

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

17x8 255/50/17 front 17x9.5 275/55/17 rear with a 3.5/5 drop.




Same setup with a 4.5/6.75 drop.

Asa's truck in this thread has 17x8 and 17x9.5 wheels with 255/50/17 and 275/50/17 tires with a 3.5/6 drop.

not to highjack, but has anybody had backspace or clearance issues with a 17" with a factory stance, disc/drum set up?
