Canada Wanted 73-90's Manual Throttle Setup

There was a factory hand throttle optioned, I would assume came on 1 ton, for operating a PTO. Looking for a complete setup.

they were available on the earlier trucks...mine came from a 75 1/2 ton

But I have only seen two....the first one at a wrecker and the second one I had to buy the whole truck to get it.

They are right up there with the bed mount toolbox and flip down interior light as rare options

I have one coming out of a '74 K20. It hasn't been removed yet so let's make sure we get all the parts.

The army released all the GM 76 army trucks in the early to mid 90's down here in eastern Ontario and lots made into western Quebec.They were going at Ottawa auction I seen for as low as $200 some up to $900 that was the highest I seen, until they released the 81-87 models then they went for alot higher price.So at one time they were everywhere down here;now if they haven't been sold for scrap they are in the weeds out behind people's houses or barns; just look for the olive drab (if you can see it.)

They probally made it out your way too heres a pic of one for sale your next province over.

The U.S.A. did not buy any until the early 80's so these 76's were a Canadian army only.
(They were also available in white.)Rated for 1 1/4 ton they had the 1 ton wider chassis but with a dana 44 (4.56) open front axle with a truss to make up the weight rating on the front and a 14 bolt open rear axle. To level the rear of the truck they used 4 or 5 short pieces of leafs the length of the spring perch stacked under the main pack. The trans/transfer crossmember consisted of two with the rear only for mounting a 1/4 thick skid plate they were the same member as the 1/2 or 3/4 ton ones but with 2" square spacer blocks under adapter, to make up the diff in frame width. A 350 4-bolt main with engine oil cooler ,TH350 trans ,NP203 fulltime transfercase.
The next year GM produced an actual 1 ton series 4x4 truck and designed a flatter crossmember, re-arched rear springs, dana 60 front and a 4x4 spec th400 transmission. sorry for all the info I don't know when to shut up;

A friend of mine bought a mid-80's CUCV military truck with a utility bed with generator in the back. It had a manual throttle control on the dash. So that may be another place to look.

I found a complete 76 Military 4wd on Kijiji in BC. I asked the guy if he'd sell the manual throttle separately, he responded not at this time. Search continues.
