Intake gaskets
A while ago, someone posted some info on some special intake gaskets that had some screens on them or something. They claimed to increase hp and fuel mpg.
Does anyone know about these? Thanks, Slow69 |

They are called Torque Plus intake gaskets....Jegs carries them for around $35. I have no clue if they work or not. If they weren't $35 i might try them, since stock-style ones are around $12. I think longhornmail installed a pair a while back......maybe PM him.

I considered them at one time but ended up passing because I felt the screens had to redce the airflow through the heads.

Couldn't the screen get clogged from contaminants in the fuel?

Thanks for finding that thread.
I did them about a year ago, and they are still in there. I do like them. I'm thinking of making some for my caddy engine...bummer they don't make them, I'd pay the $$ again. |

If so...just slowly spray a can or so of carb cleaner down the carb when the engine is running....would proably clean the screens right out.
