learned something new yesterday

So, yesterday I went to the gas station after work, and they were getting a delivery. after I was done inside the person doing the delivery says "is that your truck?" and I said yeah then he asked "where'd you get it at" and I told him I bought it from a guy just down the road from where I was at he says "oh, well that's my grandpas old truck" so we got to talking and he is convinced that all the modifications that were done to it was by his cousin. So I gave him my number and told him to get a hold of his cousin because I would love to talk to him about it. so we will see what this leads to. he also mentioned that it was bought new by his grandfather in Avon, MN. but once again I will have to wait to talk to his cousin and see if it is in fact his truck.

Cool! I think it is neat when you can add a little bit of humanity to a machine. It is nice to know it belonged to a person who took care of it and not just something dredged out of a shelter belt.

Yeah it will be cool, he says he has a bunch of pics from when it was new, and said it got the baby blue paint because that was what their gramps always wanted it to be

Subscribed...want to hear how it plays out.
I found an old for sale sign behind the gas tank cardboard with what I think might be the original owners phone number or at least the person that did a lot of the suspension and body work years ago. Been thinking of dialing the number, but still hesitant.
