shorty chevelle headers

I just remembered why I hate headers, I was reminded when I bolted my passenger side on and it was tight, then I bolted on the drivers side and the dump is aimed right at my old standard shift crossmember. Oh well, I did get the new th350 in and bolted up today and fab'd a new crossmember for it.

Anyone want a brand new set of dynomax headers?

Im not sure what your calling a z-bar?

This weekend I yanked out the 4 speed and all of its linkage, mounted up my new t350 and put on my headers, I didnt remove the original 4-speed crossmember, I just fab'd a new crossmember for the auto trans and left the old crossmember up there in front of the pan directly under the torque converter. The header on the drivers side dumps out inches in front of the old crossmember and directly in the center.

I guess I could rip out the old 4-speed crossmember???
