Can you bolt a 67-72 body on a 72-87 4x4 chassis?

Not easily.

The 73-87 trucks have a significant kick up in the frame under the cab. Remember, the fuel tanks on the 73-87 are under the cab, so it has a raised floorboard and higher frame rails in that area.

It doesn't cure the shape of the frame rails though.

There is also a longer wheel base on the 73-87.

Re: Questions on integrating different years??

Just thought it might make things easier, oh well I am planning on a new build!!! I think long and hard about what I do in building a car/truck. I'm thinking of building a 71/72 4x4 chassis with 67/68 body, factory a/c, cab, P/S, PDB, BBC with automatic. I'll be using all factory date correct stuff and it'll be a daily driver, especially in the winters of Colorado.

I'm going to accumulate parts over the next year or so and build this project in record time. Any help od assistance would be welcome....
