WTB: 60-66 Small Hump Rubber Floor Mat

Looking for a small hump rubber floor mat for my 65 C10. I've been working on my 65 restoration for nearly a year and this is the last part I need.

Re: WTB: 60-66 Small Hump Rubber Floor Mat

Hope you find a source, I've been looking for a couple years for a '64-66 small hump mat. Sounds like you're getting close to having it finished?

I am almost done. All that's left is to adjust the shift linkage and install the seat. Hoping to take it out for a test drive this weekend. I'll send you a few pictures.

What am I missing here? Are the aftermarket companies not making the mats anymore?

Depending on where you call, you will hear one of two stories. Some places say it has been discontinued and the others say that the mold to make the mat broke and that once it is fixed they will begin making them again. The "mold is broken" story goes back to some time in 2012 so it seems doubtful they are going to fix it.

Re: WTB: 60-66 Small Hump Rubber Floor Mat

Did you try http://www.truckandcarshop.com/? You could also check with Tony at http://4-5-6chevytrucks.com/. Probably about a year & a half ago I checked with him when my dad was considering a replacement low hump mat for a truck he had. Tony had an NOS one at the time. My dad ended up cleaning the one he had since the truck wasn't really worthy of a nice one, & he was flipping it anyway. Some folks have reported issues with Tony, but I've bought from him on a couple occasions with no problem.

I have contacted both places a couple of times with no luck. I did purchase a couple of small parts from Tony. Got them ok.

If you happen to see another one let me know. I do check eBay frequently, just apparently not at the right times

Re: WTB: 60-66 Small Hump Rubber Floor Mat

65chevygal, I made repairs to the cracks and splits from the back on a decent OE mat. Are you interested in one like that or just a new repop or NOS? I run across them every now and then.

Sorry I didn't get any good one's. We worked on the truck yesterday afternoon and I thought I would get some good pics after we cleaned it up. We ran out of day. My son took the truck to go see friends. I couldn't find any pics from when we were working on the mat. We gave it a good scrubbing with a stiff brush and dish soap and let it dry. Then we put contact cement on the back where it was cracked and then applied gorilla tape. I do have some pics that are not great. I’ll get some better one’s this week.

What we have now and what we started with. You may be able to see there is a split we need to repair in the passenger floor at the hump.

Thanks for the pictures. Looks like it turned out pretty good. I'm at the point that I will take just about any rubber mat that I can get.

Here is a picture of the vinyl mat. My main issue with it other than it doesn't look original is that it's not cut to fit. You have to do a lot of trimming and cut out all of the holes. It's hard to make all of the cuts and make them look good. It's hard to tell in the picture but it looks worse close up and along the edges.

Still looking for an original mat, either an original in good shape or one of the reproductions from before the mold broke. If anyone has one or has any leads on where I might can find one I would appreciate it.

I use spent ammo cartridges when punching through rubber. .357 for 3/8, .50 for 1/2" etc....work great and you get nice round holes. Just put a block of wood under and a good whack with your favorite hammer.

Also...if you can wait a few weeks, I'll be taking a nice one out of my 63 when I go to carpet. I'm in Fayetteville, NC.
