Re: 1970 2wd blazer vin help??

yeah thats the vin decoder I used the number 6 states that its suburban on the decoder. would that be considered a typo on the vin. everything else seems to check out. has springs and trailing arms. vin seems correct minus the 6 and the production number. I was under the impression that they only made roughly 900 of these so has me questioning the 121893 part of the vin. any input would be greatly appreciated

Check the partial vin on the frame by the power steering box and the hidden one under the drivers seat on top of the frame (with a mirror).
Make sure those match the vin plate. Otherwise someone swapped the vin plate out.

Re: 1970 2wd blazer vin help??

Besides checking the partial vins on the frame does the vin tag look altered. Are the correct rosette rivets there? Does the vin on the spid on the glovebox match the door pillar vin?

First of all.. Welcome to the forum!!

I am somewhat familiar with the Blazer you are asking about, (although I have not looked at the vin number)
I suspect the person who posted the ad possibly did a typo or read the vin incorrectly. If your seriously thinking about purchasing it I would take a trip over to the Blazer and inspect it in person to confirm.

I would assume its a typo because half the people on craigslist honestly can't spell at all. or they just are plain idiotic. Its funny to see how many "cameros" and "ford cavaliers" there are on craigslist
