Selling rebuilt chevy 250 and 4 speed manual trans

I bought a 67 c10 from a good family friend who inherited this truck from his father whom died from MS. He told me that the motor was rebuilt but never started All I can say for certain is I have a new box with an old cam in it and all the gaskets look replaced. The engine is a 67 250 and the transmission is a 4 speed manual. I have all the linkages and clutch for it. I pulled the top cover off and it definitely has new synchros. Very clean package deal. I will also throw in a spare 250 that I received with the truck. I believe its a 69 250 complete. I was looking to get 800.00 for the whole package plus freight if we need to go that route. I reside in Wayne WI. Any questions are welcome. Thanks for looking

Would you consider splitting it up? I could be interested in the trans. Thanks, Jim

Re: Selling rebuilt chevy 250 and 4 speed manual trans

I'd need time to find a buyer for the engines. My 1 ton needs new clutch, pressure plate and bearing, and has a synchro issues getting it in 1st and reverse, so swapping in yours would sure be easier.

cypressbog 300 FOR THE TRANS!
gutsyracing I will check on the carb and verify that it is indeed a 69.
NavyChief 300 for the engine Plus shipping, Its probably going to kill you in shipping. But if your really set on it I can bring a scale home with a pallet and see what it would cost you. If its really bad I might be able to help with the cost

500 for motors and trans, It looks like a brand new clutch! pulled the valve covers and its spotless inside. This is a solid package deal. Would like to rid the garage of things not needed!

If you want we can see what the shipping would be for the engine to 37043. If it is not too bad we could work something out!

Try and contact a Fastnal store. I've heard they'll ship engines from a forum member for cheap. Worst they can say is no.

Has any money changed hands yet? Is it promised to anyone yet? I might be interested in the package if you are coming to Jefferson, Wisconsin swap in April or it isn't too far to your place from Jefferson - I will be setting up a swap space there to sell parts (a lot will be 67-72 by the way). Thanks, Jay

NAVYCHIEF I checked with fastnal and he said he could get the engione to a fastnal store in TN if you have one near you. It sounds like it would be affordable but I need to \figure out which store you would pick it up from!

Re: Selling rebuilt chevy 250 and 4 speed manual trans

So fastenal took awhile to get a quote back but I thought shipping an engine from WI to TN for 125$ was very reasonable! They dont deliver to your house but you can drop it off at your nearest Fastenal location and it get delivered to a Fastenal near your residence.
