A couple pictures from a Sunday drive

The weather is so nice here today, I thought it was the perfect chance to get the truck out. My son and I took my truck to church and took the long way home. I thought I would share a few pictures. Post up your pictures if you did the same. I never get tired of looking at pictures of our trucks!

Re: A couple pictures from a Sunday drive

Took a MONDAY ride with the "Boss" today.

A little country ride. A little grocery getting. A stop off at the machine shop to check on the heads.

Here are a few more pics:

And here is a YouTube video discussion I had while driving today with the Boss Woman regarding the natural differences between X and Y's point of view on "parts":

Man that's hard!...In the dead of winter we're lucky to get down to 0c /32f!
At the moment we're going through a spell of 40 - 45 degrees (104/113f)!
Tough if you have no A/C.

Thanks for the reply's. And thanks for the pics MAGWAKEEN. I love your truck it is sooo clean.
Suspension is Early Classic 4.5"/6" I'm running the rally's through the winter with 275/60 and 235/70 BFG Radial T/A. There are pictures in my build thread of it with the 20's on. I think with the rally's it sits a little too low in the rear. With the other wheels on it has a very slight rake, witch is the look that I personally prefer. If I were going to run rally's full time, I would change out the rear springs to 5".

The fronts are whatever the van rally's are. Its been so long I cant remember. They are either 6.5" or 7" if I remember correctly.

4.5" in the front? The ECE kit has a 2.5" drop spindle plus a 1.5" drop spring for 4" total in the front. Are you using a 2" drop spring to get 4.5" total up front? If so, which company? I'm installing my ECE kit now and love your stance.

Yes, its a 2" spring. If I remember correctly, when I ordered the kit I had them replace the 1.5" springs with 2" springs. But its been a few years. I do know that ECE makes 2" front springs. I was glad I did it too. Like I said, it's still on the verge of not enough rake for my taste. I've been following along on your installation thread. It brought back memories of those darn rivets. but it's worth it, and it's gonna look and ride great. Also, for what its worth, I head to put in a c-notch to avoid bottoming out occasionally. But, I live on some pretty shotty paved back roads. A lot of people say they have no problems though.
