vent window question
I would like to hear your guys opinions on the vent window seals. Where can I get some seals that will fit really good and does anyone have any advice to putting in the new felt division bar liner so that it looks good.

Re: vent window question
I can't help on the seals but the division bar was pretty easy to get to look right.I drilled the riverts from the old one. Then I matched the hole to the new one.I had to drill them a slightly larger size because I couldn't find the smaller rivets.I used pop rivets but the anvil of the rivet gun wouldn't fit into the division bar.I cut a short piece of copper tubing and put it over the rod of the rivet then put the rivet into the division bar and got it as tight as I could. Then pumped the handle on the rivet gun.The division bar has stayed put for over ten years.I also recommend using some lube(I use silicone like for foosball bars) on the felt in the channel. It seems to help the felt smooth out and work in.Make sure you have the division bar tight in the channel on every rivet.

Re: vent window question
I used Precision brand on my rebuild. They worked well.

X2. They fit like a glove. GMCPaul and Classicheartbeat carry them.

Re: vent window question
I did this as well, except I used a bench grinder to shave down the anvil so it would fit in the channel

Re: vent window question
Also make absolutely sure you have the rivet seated all the way to the bottom of the channel and that the head is flat against the bottom of said channel.
