Look at this neat old vise I picked up today

It says Prentiss Bulldog from New York on it. Got it for $50. I googled it a little bit, but do you guys have any thoughts on how old it is, or what it's worth?
I dig it!

Very cool. I have a large swivel-base Prentiss in my little vise collection. They are great vises, and that was well worth the $50 you gave for it, IMO.

New vices just don't hold up like the old ones do. Sounds like a real good buy to me at 50 bucks. No clue what it would be worth though.

Very cool info right there...thanks for that!

Also dig the Garage Journal. I spend way too much time on there drooling about peoples shops.

I don't know what it is but you don't really have a shop until you have a gnarly work bench with a 40 year old 50 lbs vise on it. It could have nothing else in it but its a shop if it has a vise.
