The truck is sitting on a 69 frame with a 67 cab and body. We also took 67 aftermarket finders and modified them to accommodate the gas tank.

Re: RTI 67 stepper build
The wheels were purchased on Ebay. I tried repeatedly to buy wheels from a supporting member, but I never could get a shipped price, so I gave up and tried Ebay. The tires came from Tires Direct, it took a lot of work to find a company that had the staggered sizes I wanted. Tire and wheels were in the $1400 range
I am afraid I can't help much on the fenders, they were purchased from a local guy that parted out his project. I think he said he bought them in K.C. but that is all I remember. Last edited by RTI Collision Repair; 01-31-2014 at 07:09 PM. |

Re: RTI 67 stepper build
Thanks for the info. I have been running into the same problem with the tires. Now I can move forward. I thinking about going with these wheels in a 18"

Re: RTI 67 stepper build
I went back and looked at the tire invoice, and it is tirebuyer.com. They were great to work with and the tires showed up in 2 days. Sorry about the wrong name earlier.

We had to modify the gas tank because of the modified finders. we cut a new hole for the neck, trimmed the neck to size and welded it all back together.

Re: RTI 67 stepper build
We have been out of school for the last 3 day due to bad weather, but we were back today. Several students sanded on the rear fenders today. They are a little wavy, but at least we are not fighting the normal rust. I will try to get a few more pictures next week.

This week we are prepping the bed for paint. We have the rear finders in the booth today getting a coating of Epoxy Primer, and a group of high school guys are sanding on the bed. We have located and cut the Oak planks for the bed floor already.

We ordered a bed light it came in today and we converted it into a bed light/tail light... The red for the tail light doesn't look very bright in the pictures but it turned out being really nice

The bed light/stop light looks like it is going to be a cool improvement and an easy one to boot.

Hello everyone this week we are doing a little bit of interior work. We have expanded the hole for the radio to allow us to install a double din system.
