Offenhauser Fuel Pressure Regulator?

Anybody ever used one of these on either an Edelbrock or Carter carburetor??

I'm going to plumb it inline to the chrome hard line that feeds my Carter Comp 635.

Just curious if they really work. Need to regulate a new mechanical fuel pump down to 6 lbs.

Please respond if you have used one of this model only, since I already bought it.

Thanks,

Re: Offenhauser Fuel Pressure Regulator?

I installed one last year, could not get a Qjet to run right even after having a well respected CA shop rebuild it. Kept spewing gas all over, had old school local mechanic tear it all apart again, before he started it he noticed way high pressure out of new NAPA pump. In went the regulator, no issues since.

I used one on a dual quad intake with a pair of carter afb's. Reduced my pressure to 4 psi.
If you're gonna use it with an eddy carb then set it for 5 psi.
