Re: Gonna work on my interior what do you think about this steering wheel

Needs red shadow on that logo...and a touch of silver highlight. I'd go ahead and do some subtle pinstripe to go with it,since you're going that route. Whitewalls and "speed shop" don't mix,IMO. That truck will be screamin' for some aluminum slots,Cragar S/Ss,or Torque Thrusts. No self respecting speed shop owner could resist.

About the steering wheel? Not for me. Gotta stay era correct for the right vibe. I'd grab a red car wheel with horn ring...what that wheel wishes it was. That,or a good old red metalflake racing wheel like Moon now sells.

Oh,and thanks for asking my opinion. Well,at least on one thing

Re: Gonna work on my interior what do you think about this steering wheel

Its a nice looking wheel but looks like it belongs in a street rod. Too modern looking. If you are going to go the speed shop from the 60s look you should go with a steering wheel from that era. Moon has some pretty cool 3 spoke wheels with round accent holes in the spokes. Lots of colors, even flaked ones.

Most of the stuff K stated works for me. I prefer a logo a little more understated though.

I am with you on this 19673ontree I am doing my truck old school hotrod style also... I found this one for my truck... if you go to their website you can build the steering wheel in the colors you want with all the style accents to custom the wheel to your liking...

Love it! Wheels n tires look awesome! That steering wheel is cool. If u match the seat, door panels and dash pad it will be awesome!

Keep it old school!

That's a cool looking steering wheel, here are some steering wheels you might like. Here is one picture of one of these wheels painted. These will fit on the 67-72 Chevy/GMC truck

Not crazy about the steering wheel either. A nicely restored original or just a 60's car wheel would look much more subtle and classy.

Re: Gonna work on my interior what do you think about this steering wheel

The truck, to my sense of taste, is pretty good. I like the steelies w/dog dishes, the logo, perhaps smaller and 'stylish', shading to complement the interior. The wheel is nice, real 'sano', as the old school hit rodders would say. And as has been noted, it's your truck, and it's your canvas!
