i picked these up local and the fell'a didnt know what they were for. i'm not quite sure either(since i never owned a pair) but i took a chance. they sure do look like the ones in the fac section. is there any part #'s? if so where and what are they? its too cold too use a pressure washer rite now

are these 72 bbc mounts?

Yes they are bb mounts, later model has two bumps, 72 has one

Again these are not what you think they are, I am the one that added the info in your 72 bbc mounts FS thread on the parts board, wish that I had came across this confirmation thread earlier as I could have assited beforehand. I have asked Eric/Too Much Stuff to add my info & pics from post #21 of the below linked 2009 thread to his FAQ "V-8 Engine Stands... Know Em" thread at least three or four times now so that others searching can view, you are the seventh person that I know of to have misinformed or burned on this type of engine tower/mount setup. Like the above reply everyone around here says the same about the one vs. two bumps theory but you cannot just go by that alone. Again here are the pics from the below linked thread, check the thread for more info on the application and description. Mel

before i started this here thread i had searched for pages on 72 mounts and every pic i came across these did seem a lil' off thats why i started the thread.
i guess your thread from 2009 was buried pretty deep cause i never came across your comparison pics.

all good info. and yes it would be cool too add these too the "Know'm" thread just for future reference.
