Is this safe?

Is it safe to have a nitro bottle next to the engine?

Just to let everyone know nitrous is a non flammable gas it just supports combustion.

But a high pressure cylinder in an engine compartment is still very unsafe no matter how you look at it!

87 stepper beat me to it on the non flammeable part. Also unless you own a import with a 4' wing and stickers plastered all over it, its called nitrous not nitro :p

I was in a hurry to post it but didn't want to suffer the wrath of the board by calling it NOS.

Opps, forgot that ! (was thinking O2) I should have caught that since I pay big bucks to inhale it at the dentist

O2 gas would be better, except you need a much thicker tank to get it to liquify,

But a nasty if something goes south.
