Looks good. I've thought about doing that same thing. Looks better than what the aftermarket panels give you. The thing stopping me is the loss of the vents in the summer. They definitely help some in the dead of summer at 100 degrees.

i didn't lose the vents, if you notice in the pics i rounded the top of the kick panels and used the vent handle screws as a support. mine are still fully functional

Ok cool. That was one of my issues with some of the kickers I've seen. That and the formed ASIC doesn't really look that great to me. Your are sweet lookin. I should have done it to Mine. But my doors were already cut for speakers. Glad you have functioning vents. And I forgot to mention. Glove box door sticker is awesome.

Re: My new homemade kick panel enclosures

i designed these kick panels around a true 6 inch speaker and i guess a- 6.5 wont fit ( i feel like an idiot ) but it is what is - used what i could use - what i could find as speaker covers ( gave them to my dad then Indian gave them, once i found out they fit my speakers) above pics show - check thread

Re: My new homemade kick panel enclosures

I should of looked closer In the earlier Pics so I didn't see the Vent pull handle. Are you leaving the speaker covers white or paint to Match the vinyl? Looks good either way.

Sacramento. Those look GREAT! I would hire you to make me some, but I'm going with 4" on top of the dash. Great work!
