Goodbye to my 67
I have not been on the site very much in the last year or so. The time came where one of the pickups had to go, the 74 or the 67. Well the 67 is worth a whole lot more than the 74 and if I sold the 74 I would have had to sink quite a bit of the sale money into a Vintage Air A/C system. I loved that 67 C10, but the 74 C10 has been with me quite a few years more, and I had to put an engine in it after the problems of selling it too my father. It is so bad that it has left bad feelings between my father and myself (more than the truck but it was the cherry on top).
Goodbye Sweetheart, I found you a good home I believe. A lot of future experiences ahead for this pickup and I.

Re: Goodbye to my 67
Hate you had to sell yoir truck , my ex wife used to see my cars and trucks as income she would bury us in credit cards and I would sell my car and pay tbe credit cards down to get out of debt but to her all I was doing was paying them down so she could start running the debt up again , it dont feel good to have to sell an old car or truck when down deep you wanted to keep it .

Re: Goodbye to my 67
Your relationship with your father is something you cannot buy. But it can be fixed. I didn't talk to my dad for 20 years. SAD.
I talk to him all the time now. Trucks can be replaced.

Re: Goodbye to my 67
There are always more trucks. You only have one dad.
I like the '74 better than your '67. I dig the stance and the mags. Sweet ass truck. Gary

Re: Goodbye to my 67
they are both very sweet trucks around here it very tough too find a good 73-77
it seems that 67-72 are easyier too find anymore. i lost both my parents back when i was a very early teen.then i lost my only sister 10yrs ago. spend as much time with them that you can because one day they will not be here and you will miss them.

Re: Goodbye to my 67
The father issues have been going on since I was a small child, I have turned the other cheek more times I care to admit when It comes to him. I would agree with what everyone says about trying to keep a relationship with our parents....but there comes a time when one can no longer take verbal assaults. How long and how many times must someone take abuse and accusations from a parent that anyone would tell a friend to pound sand if said by them. I have tried but I just can't suppress my anger over trying to help and being accused of "selling him a piece of junk" (way under going market value BTW).
Me and the 74 will go on into the sunset and have plenty of fun. Thanks for the kind words, and agree with all those who have taken the time to respond. P.S. why is it after you stop selling a vehicle is when you get a flood of requests to sell?
